About Children Choir
The Cloud Children’s Choir offers deeper training for our young members
Little Singers (5-8 year olds)
This choir is all about building an understanding of basic musical concepts, such as pitch and timing, as well as working together in rehearsals and performances.
Raise Your Voice (7-9 year olds)
As our singers progress, we increasingly focus on sight-reading and ear training skills, and perform choral works from various styles and periods. At this stage, the choir primarily sings two-part harmonies. Additionally, we have expanded our collaborations with other musicians, including piano soloists, chamber ensembles, symphony orchestras, and rock bands.
Find Your Voice (after 9 years old)
For the 9-13 age group choir, the focus is primarily on performing three-part and four-part music pieces. The main participants for each choir competition are selected during this stage. This phase emphasises enhancing the children's abilities in self-expression and appreciation of music.
We perform a range of classic choral and contemporary works, accompanied by some of New Zealand's finest soloists and groups.
